Steven takes care of the foreign reporting for the VRT

with extra focus on France.

He brought us the news about the terrorist attacks in Paris,

about de latest presidential elections

and about the football madness in France during the World Cup.

In the renovated Beaujean building, the former Carlton Hotel,

situated on the ‘FRANCE’-avenue (Frankrijklei)

the old ballroom recently has been refurbished as event location.

___

Here Steven will tell us about

French politics, the impact of the terroristic attacks,

French cuisine and culture, French identity

and about how the French see the Belgians.

Some French songs

performed by bass-baritone Wilfried Van den Brande

and well-known pianist Bart Van Caenegem

will add an extra touch of French atmosphere.

After the lecture there is time for a chat with a glass at the same location.
